A new set of press renders alleged to belong to the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 3 leaked on the web. The renders appeared just a few days before the phone"s official announcement scheduled on July 22.
Courtesy of Evan Blass, who posted the images on his Patreon account, the renders give us a glimpse into the phone"s design, both on the rear and front. The most notable feature on the front is the lack of a notch or a punch-hole for the selfie camera. Instead, there"s a relatively thick top bezel which houses the front shooter. This makes sense considering that the device is meant for gaming, so a notchless display helps to minimize distractions.
The device also includes a triple camera setup at the back, which may feature a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto lens, if a TENAA listing is any indication. At the bottom of the screen, it is noticeable that the chin is thick as well, probably to accommodate the loudspeakers. The left side of the phone also appears to be housing a USB-C port.
ROG Phone 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 Plus and recent rumors claimed it would pack a massive 6,000mAh battery. It"s also said to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. More details about the device will surface next week.
