Apple has silently posted a new build of QuickTime 7 for Windows to its website, dubbed QuickTime 7 for Windows Public Preview 3.
The original public preview release, which was posted to Apple"s website on June 6, 2005, carried the build number 7.0.2.38. The second public preview, which was released July 13, 2005, carried build number 7.0.2.63. This third public preview carries build number 7.0.2.70. Apple has not officially announced what has been changed, improved, or added in this new build, though it clearly shows signs of several bug fixes and general stability improvements.
QuickTime is a multimedia technology developed by Apple Computer, capable of handling various formats of digital video, sound, text, animation, music, and immersive virtual reality panoramic images. QuickTime 7 offers a step into the next generation with support for H.264 high-definition video playback, surround sound, and many more exciting new features.
