Last year, Rare showed off Everwild for the first time, a brand new IP coming from the Microsoft-owned studio. Today, another much larger look at the title was given during the Xbox Games Showcase, check it out above.
As Rare explains it, players will experience the natural and magical world of Everwild as an Eternal, where they will "build bonds with the world". Working with and around animals seems to be a big focus. Sadly, almost nothing is yet known about what sort of gameplay will Everwild show up with, but considering the success of Sea of Thieves, this could be another sandbox open-world title focused on cooperative gameplay and lots of exploration elements.
Mirroring last year, a launch window reveal for Everwild didn’t arrive from Rare. When the Xbox first-party title does come out, it will be available on Windows 10 PC, Xbox One family, and Xbox Series X. Plus, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will gain access to it on day one.
