The Razer Blade is apparently a big hit, even with its high $2,799 price. The gaming PC-themed laptop, which was first announced last August, has now sold out of its first wave of units, according to a post on the company"s Facebook page. Razer didn"t give a specific number of how many of the Razer Blade notebooks were sold.
For those people who didn"t get a chance to purchase the first versions of the laptop, Razer"s message states:
Rest assured that we’re working hard to meet the demand and get them back in stock by mid February. We will update you again once our next batch is finished and we are doing all that we can to keep up with the demand.
Just to recap, the Razer Blade is a a 17 inch notebook but weights just under 7 pounds and is only .86 inches thick. It comes with a small LCD placed next to the keyboard that can display things like in-game information, or can be used as a second small monitor to watch YouTube videos or surf the net while you play games on the main screen. It also has 10 special keys above the LCD screen that can change depending on which game is being played on the Razer.
Inside it has a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 2640M processor, 8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M graphics chip with 2 GB of video memory, a HD web cam built into the case, a 256 GB SSD, two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port.
