In October, Razer officially announced that it was going to proceed with "Project Fiona", an upcoming high end Windows 8 tablet designed for gaming. At the time, Razer asked its fans what kinds of features they would like to see in the tablet. Now the CEO of Razer, Min-Liang Tan, has revealed what their fans have decided to put inside "Project Fiona."
In a post on his Facebook page, Tan said that fans want either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor inside, along with an unnamed "Mid Tier Discrete GPU" that would be able to run PC games at medium graphics settings. Fans are apparently willing to buy a gaming PC tablet that weighs up to twice that of an iPad. In addition, they would prefer to have a tablet that has some kind of removable controller or controllers.
Finally, what about price? Tan says that Razer fans would be willing to pay a premium for a gaming PC tablet. They indicated they would pay between $1,299 to $1,499 for such a product. That"s certainly well above the price that most tablets have out in the marketplace.
Tan said that three people who like and share his Facebook post will be randomly picked to win one of the first "Project Fiona" tablets when they are released. People can also enter this giveaway via Razer"s official website. There"s no word on when Razer will actually launch this high end Windows 8 tablet.
