Razer has been on something of a spree of product releases with products such as the Junglecat controller, the truly wireless Hammerhead earbuds, or its first laptop with an optical keyboard. Today, there"s yet another one, and it"s the Firefly V2, a successor to the hard gaming mouse mat released in 2015.
The second iteration of the Firefly brings some quality-of-life improvements to the table, including more lighting zones - which there are 19 of now - and overall brighter lighting. It"s also thinner than the previous model at just 3mm of thickness, and it now has a cable catch so you can lock your wired mouse"s cable to prevent it from moving around too much.
Aside from that, it"s fairly similar to the previous model, with a micro-textured surface for better mouse tracking, a rubber base, and all-round RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors to choose from through Razer Synapse.
Another good thing about the Firefly V2 is that it"s cheaper than the original model. It costs $49.99/€59.99, which is $10 less for U.S. users and €15 less for those in Europe when compared to the previous model. It"s available today from Razer"s website.
