Razer is releasing yet another mechanical keyboard. This time around, though, there"s something that"s a little different from the gaming company"s usual lineup of peripherals and accessories. The BlackWidow Lite is made not for gamers but rather professionals working in the office.
As a result, the keyboard boasts none of the company"s usual gamer flourishes or the kaleidoscope of colours that the company otherwise refers to as Chroma. The keys do have white backlighting on them, though, for those occasions when you"re typing in a dimly-lit environment. Instead, the BlackWidow lite features a rather minimalist black design, and you"d be hard pressed to know it"s a Razer product from first glance if you didn"t see the Razer logo emblazoned in a nuanced black above the arrow keys.
As expected of a gaming keyboard that"s designed to be used in the office, the keyboard features Razer"s Orange mechanical switches, which are designed for near-silent operation and won"t have your co-workers up in arms about the constant clickety-clacking you"d get from most other mechanical keyboards.
The BlackWidow Lite is already available from Razer"s store for $89.99 in the US, and is also available for retail in select stores worldwide.
