Razer refreshes the Blade 15 with 10th-gen Intel processors and RTX Super graphics

As many other OEMs have done today, Razer is refreshing one of its more popular gaming laptops with Intel"s new 10th-generation H-series processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX Super GPUs. The new Razer Blade 15 will come in two variants, the base model and the Advanced model.

Naturally, the Advanced model is really the star of the show here, with an eight-core Intel Core i7-10875H CPU, and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super with Max-Q design. It has up to 16GB of RAM and a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD.

There are two options for the display, but the most notable is the new 300Hz refresh rate option, with a TFT LCD panel, up to 100% sRGB coverage, and Full HD resolution. The other option is an OLED panel with touch support, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the display.

The base model comes with an Intel Core i7-10750H, so you"re only getting six cores and 12 threads. It can also be configured with up to a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, so you can"t get the new Super cards with this model. Storage maxes out at 512GB for this model. Additionally, the display only goes up to 144Hz if you go the LCD route, while the OLED model doesn"t support touch.

Other differences between the two models include a larger 80Wh battery on the Advanced model, versus 65Wh on the base model, and Power Delivery 3.0 support in the USB Type-C ports, which the base model doesn"t have. The keyboard on the base model also has single-zone RGB backlighting, while the Advanced model offers per-key backlight customization.

The new Razer Blade 15 will be available in May and start at $1,599 in the U.S. and €1,799 in Europe.
