Razer sets October date for new product reveal

And just like that, Razer has sent out invites for an event that will take place in October. While it doesn"t state what exactly it is for, there is an outline of what appears to be a phone on the invitation and there is also a "mobility showcase" scheduled at the event.

Over the past few weeks we have seen a wide variety of rumors about an upcoming phone, and now we will get to see if what is presumed to be the Razer Phone 2 will make an appearance. Last year, Razer entered the smartphone market for the first time, keeping things true to its vision, and delivering a phone that would cater to the needs of gamers.

Since then, the market has become a bit saturated, with several other companies delivering "gaming" smartphones. But, despite this, Razer"s phone from last year still offers something unique with its 120Hz screen. While there are a ton of Android phones out there, only a handful offer screens with refresh rates better than 60Hz.

We are about a month away from the event but if the Razer Phone 2 is incoming, it will be interesting to see what the device can offer above its predecessor.
