The first of Microsoft"s Xbox Play Anywhere games, ReCore, launched on Windows 10 and Xbox One back in September 2016. Although it enjoyed considerable hype before its official launch, the title received fairly average critical reviews due to a variety of issues, including repetitive missions and extensive loading times.
Now, Microsoft has published ReCore Definitive Edition on Xbox One and Windows 10, fixing a lot of the problems present in the original game. The title can also be accessed via Xbox Game Pass.
ReCore Definitive Edition was first spotted in the Achievements list for Xbox One last month. Microsoft later confirmed the authenticity of the title at its Gamescom 2017 presentation and by opening up pre-orders at the Microsoft Store. Yesterday, the company also detailed an extensive list of all the changes included in the Definitive Edition.
The major changes in ReCore Definitive Edition include a new mission dubbed Eye of the Obsidian, and some brand new weapons, gear for Corebots, and enemy types. Furthermore, it also features the highly anticipated companion robot, T8-NK Corebot ("Tank").
The Definitive Edition packs several performance and gameplay enhancements as well. This includes drastically reduced loading times, improvements to the Map, Fast Travel, enhanced visuals with an increased resolution and support for HDR, and 20 new Achievements, among other things.
ReCore Definitive Edition can be purchased for $19.99 from the Microsoft Store - the price is considerably lower than the $39.99 launch price of the original version. Those who already own the standard version will receive all of the aforementioned enhancements for free in an update soon. Gamers subscribed to Microsoft"s Xbox Game Pass can also download it through the program.
