When ReCore launched in 2016 many felt that the game was rushed, with main characters and a part of the game world entirely missing from the final product. However, some users on Reddit spotted something peculiar when looking through their Achievements list on Xbox One.
According to a user that goes by smlfan123 on Reddit, the image relating to the game changed to reflect ReCore: Definitive Edition, instead of the standard image of Joule and her sidekicks. This was corrected by the company, however, it could give us some hints as to what we can expect when the game inevitably receives this update.
Microsoft confirmed late last year that an update to the game was coming soon, although no date was given at that time. The update could include the missing content, as mentioned, as well as HDR support for the One S; and since the Xbox One X is on the horizon, one may also hope that it could include a 4K patch as well. The image was also imposed on top of the standard edition that gamers bought, possibly suggesting that it will be a free upgrade to current owners of the title; which would be great fan service if true.
According to reports, the game also received an official rating from the USK Ratings Board recently.
ReCore, a game developed by famed Keiji Inafune from Concept, launched in September of 2016 to some muted reviews. The game is currently available for both Xbox One and Windows 10, as one of the first Play Anywhere titles that was announced when the program started. The game"s story is mainly based on Joule Adams after she awakes from cryosleep. She is confronted by a robotic overlord, bent on the destruction of humankind, and it"s up to you to defeat this menace.
