A press render of unannounced Motorola smartphones alleged to be the Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 has been posted by Evan "evleaks" Blass on Twitter.
Soon after the launch of the latest Motorola flagships - the Moto X Style and Moto X Pure - specs and images of the Moto Turbo 2 started making their way online. Now, a press render of the smartphones has been posted by Evan which has revealed the next generation Droid Maxx smartphone. Both the devices shown in the image carry the Verizon branding but it is possible that the devices will be released globally at a later stage.
Design-wise the smartphones are very similar to the current stock of Motorola smartphones, that include the third-generation Moto G, Moto X Play, Moto X Pure and Moto X Style. The only differences that are visible here are the textures on the rear-side and the LED flash on the front-side of the Turbo.
According to the teaser posted by Verizon recently, the Turbo 2 is expected to feature a shatterproof screen which will be a good enhancement to have. Specifications of the smartphone are similar to the Moto X Pure edition except that the Snapdragon 808 processor has been swapped out for the Snapdragon 810 octa-core chip. Moto Maxx 2 is said to be a rebranded Moto X Play for Verizon.
Motorola and Verizon are holding a press event on Tuesday, October 27 to launch the devices so it won"t be too long until we know more about these smartphones.
