"Icewind Dale II takes place after the events in the original Icewind Dale adventure and both of its expansions. Like its predecessor, Icewind Dale II is a pretty straight-forward hack-and-slash dungeon romp from start to finish. This is not a bad thing. There is also a decent story to explain why your party of adventurers is roaming about and under the countryside, slaying almost anything that moves, while trying to find out who, or what, has united the goblinoid races into a formidable army.
