Rick and Morty arrive to Rocket League with a free update next week

Earlier this month, Psyonix announced the arrival of a brand new Rocket League update celebrating the game"s second anniversary, bringing a new arena, Battle-Cars, new customization options and more.

Today, the developer released a new blog post, announcing that the update will also include a few free cosmetic items inspired by the popular Adult Swim TV show, Rick and Morty.

The update"s themed items are Rick and Morty Antennas, Cromulon (with painted variants), Mr. Meeseeks, and Mr. PBH Toppers. Also being introduced into the game is an Interdimensional GB rocket boost, as well as Sanchez DC-137 wheels.

All Rick and Morty themed items will be available as free drops in offline and online matches, with a common drop rate for easy grabs. The entire lineup of items from the update are displayed in the GIF seen below.

The Rocket League second Anniversary Update carrying all the new features is slated to arrive next week on July 5, bringing with it the start of a new competitive season as well. As announced at E3, the game is also on track to launch for the Nintendo Switch this holiday season, which includes multiplayer cross-play capabilities with Xbox One and PC players.
