Rocket League partners with Hot Wheels once again for its latest DLC pack

Hot Wheels isn"t unfamiliar with video game partnerships. An entire expansion themed after the toy brand arrived for Playground Games" Forza Horizon 3 last year, adding on a chain of islands lined with loops, jumps, corkscrews, and more. While Psyonix has also worked with the company before for Rocket League, its latest collaboration with Hot Wheels will introduce a far more substantial amount of content.

Kicking things off with free content that all players will receive when the DLC lands next week, there will be a brand new arena to compete in. This Hot Wheels Rivals" Arena is showcased in the trailer seen above. In addition, free customization items that will fit any and all Battle-Cars will be implemented as well.

The premium portion comes in the form of the Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC Pack, which is also called one of the "biggest Premium DLC packs ever" for the game by its developer. It brings along three new Battle-Cars into the fold: Gazella GT, MR11, and Fast 4WD, inspired by popular Hot Wheels models. Also, these will come with their own decals and toppers that are exclusive to DLC owners.

However this time, the partnership also extends in the other direction, with an actual die-cast "Hot Wheels Rocket League 5-Pack" being available for purchase in mid-October worldwide. This pack will come with models of the above-mentioned cars as well as the two vehicles from the previous promotion, all with Rocket League paint jobs.

The Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC Pack and the free content update will be launching on September 24. The DLC pack will come with a $5.99 price tag on all platforms.
