It was close to two years ago when Rockstar Games started teasing the world with Red Dead Redemption 2. Since that time, many eager fans of the series have patiently waited, even enduring a delay. Although the October release date is only a couple of months away, Rockstar has revealed a new video that features plenty of gameplay footage that should tide over the masses until its autumn release.
The "Official Gameplay Video" shows off portions of the game but also has a narrator that gives context to what is being shown. The video includes sprawling and beautiful landscapes, with scenes of towns and small outposts. According to Rockstar, its aim with Red Dead Redemption 2 is to not only create an open world but to also make the world a deeper and more interactive place.
You"ll be playing as Arthur Morgan, a senior member of an outlaw gang, who has to flee from authorities on the regular. Each time the gang flees, they set up a new camp - this is where you"ll eat, sleep, play games, and share stories with your "family". This is where you"ll also be able to learn more about the world and get into trouble if you so desire it. But just like in real life, your actions will have consequences, so be aware of your surroundings at all times.
It looks like this is just the first video in a series, with more to come, so stay tuned. Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 and will be available to play on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
