Yesterday, alleged official benchmark results for AMD"s upcoming Radeon RX 6950 XT were shared and the numbers were quite impressive. The upcoming AMD flagship apparently beats even the mighty RTX 3090 Ti in DirectX 12, at least in synthetic tests.
And today, the alleged official gaming benchmarks have also been shared once more by Wccftech, and according to these numbers, the 6950 XT, on average, is able to go toe to toe with the second-best GeForce, the RTX 3090. If these leaked benchmark numbers turn out to be accurate then it looks like AMD has done an excellent job with its new RDNA 2 refresh GPU lineup.
In the above ray tracing tests, some of the heavier ray tracing titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Control, where Nvidia RTX 3000 GPUs generally do much better, haven"t been included. Still it is good to see the 6950 XT seemingly being so far ahead of the 3090 in Far Cry 6 considering the former is rumored to be a $1,099 product, $400 less than the RTX 3090"s MSRP.
Aside from ray tracing benchmarks, other gaming benchmarks have also leaked. In this, the RX 6950 XT is compared with its predecessor, the RX 6900 XT and the Nvidia RTX 3090. There is also a slide seemingly showing the improvments with Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) compared to native 4K resolution:
The purported gaming benchmarks for the two other RDNA 2 refresh GPUs, the RX 6750 XT, and the RX 6650 XT have also been shared:
The three new Radeon offerings, the RX 6950 XT, the RX 6750 XT and the RX 6650 XT are allegedly launching in four days time on May 10th.
