Just hours after Samsung announced that it had sold three million units of its Galaxy Note II smartphone in just over a month, the company has now given a sales update for its flagship phone device, the Galaxy S III.
The official Facebook page for Samsung Poland has revealed that the Galaxy S III has now broken the 30 million sales barrier worldwide since it launched in parts of Europe in late May. In just over five months, the Galaxy S III has already outsold the original Galaxy S smartphone, which sold a total of 10 million units. it has also outsold the more recent Galasy S II, which reached the 20 million unit sales milestone.
The sales success of both the Galaxy S III and now the Galaxy Note II must be something of a comfort to Samsung as the company is still taking it on the chin for losing its design patent court battle to Apple in the US. Of course, Samsung has been doing its best to take on Apple, and its iPhone 5, with its own aggressive commercials that try to show the Galaxy S III is superior to Apple"s new iOS device.
