Samsung has introduced its new interactive, digital whiteboard that complements its existing 55-inch and 65-inch display lineup. The 85-inch Interactive Display, as it is called, is designed for education and enterprise customers.
The massive display features pen-to-paper writing mode, image editing tools, and a content navigation system. Its display has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, with up to 20 touchpoints to let multiple users create or edit the content on the screen at the same time.
Mark Quiroz, Vice President of Marketing at Samsung Electronics America, said:
“The current hybrid model of education and business implemented across industry has increased the need for technology solutions that foster engagement. The optimized open forum capability of the new 85-inch Interactive Display enables students and business leaders to work together in real-time, adapting seamlessly to current and future learning environments.”
Connectivity options include USB, HDMI, DP, NFC, OPS slot, and screen-sharing features. The display has a six-digit lock system that protects documents saved in it. It also has an embedded web browser to let you surf the internet. The device has 8GB of storage and will be available in Charcoal Black color.
For education users, the display supports MimioConnect to allow teachers and students to remotely connect with each other for distance learning programs. You can also sync the display with your device to share content in real-time.
