Samsung has revealed its latest Chrome OS device, the Galaxy Chromebook. The premium 2-in-1 device will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray sometime in the first quarter and will set you back $999.99 if you choose to pick one up. The high price tag is justifiable as this device is the thinnest Samsung Chromebook ever and includes some of Samsung’s best technologies.
According to Samsung, the 9.9mm thick device has been designed in order to withstand everyday use thanks to the durable aluminium which Samsung opted to use to enclose the hardware. With it being a 2-in-1, you can either use it like a laptop or a tablet, Samsung has also made a pen for the Galaxy Chromebook which will allow you to do graphics work more precisely. The AMOLED display should also make for a good viewing experience.
Commenting on the new product, Alanna Cotton, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Samsung Electronics America, said:
“The notion that we do everything stationary at a desk is a thing of the past, and people need premium devices built for our new reality. By offering a seamless, premium user experience, Galaxy Chromebook helps you effortlessly switch between streaming, creative projects, word processing, and more.”
