Samsung announces wider availability of PlayGalaxy Link

Samsung has announced that PlayGalaxy Link will be available on more devices in the coming weeks. Since September, when the service was launched, only Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ owners could use the app but with today’s announcement, supported devices include the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S9. Galaxy Note9, and Galaxy A90.

The South Korean firm said that Galaxy S10 owners can already access PlayGalaxy Link while the remaining devices will be able to access the software in early December which is only a week or two away. It should also be noted that there is a geographical restriction in place; the beta software is only available in South Korea, U.S., U.K., Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Singapore, and Russia.

If you’ve got a computer with an Intel Core i5 or higher CPU, DDR4 8GB RAM, 50GB or more storage, an NVIDIA GTX 1060+ or AMD Radeon RX550+ graphics card, Windows 10, and 1GB bandwidth you can head over to www.playgalaxy.com and install the PlayGalaxy Link software for your PC. Once the app is installed you can add games from your PC that you want to stream to your phone.

On the phone, you’ll need to download and install the PlayGalaxy Link app from the Samsung Galaxy Store, then you’ll want to sign in on your phone and link to the PC. Once connected you can optionally use a Bluetooth or wired controller and then you’re ready to play. The software is still in beta so expect to run into slight issues here and there.
