Samsung has been rumored to be working on a bean-shaped truly wireless earbuds for a while now. The earbuds are expected to feature active noise cancellation for an asking price of $150. The earphones, dubbed the Galaxy Buds Live, were reportedly slated for a July unveil. Supposed support pages for the earbuds also went live earlier this week.
Now, Samsung’s official Twitter account has teased a product with the text that reads “Experience the new power of sound”. While not much in terms of actual details were revealed, the video showcases a bronze liquid forming into a bean-shaped figure, which then transforms into musical notes, all but confirming that the teaser is indeed for the Buds Live.

The video ends with the Galaxy Unpacked mention, suggesting that the earbuds will be launched during Samsung’s virtual event scheduled for August 5. Additionally, the devices could also be offered in a ‘Mystic Bronze’ color that seems to be a theme for the company’s mid-year offerings. Twitter user WalkingCat recently uncovered sizzle videos of the device, hinting at the possible colors that the device will be offered in. The tagline “Keep the noise out. Let the sound in.” also hints at the active noise cancellation feature.

If the company does offer features like active noise cancellation at a $150 price point, it will compete against devices such as the more affordable Echo Buds, and be a viable alternative to the $250 AirPods Pro. With Unpacked less than three weeks away, it will not be a long wait till all the details of the product emerge.
