Samsung could be prepping a Galaxy S9 that borrows an element from the iPhone X

It was during Mobile World Congress that Samsung announced its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ handsets. The firm made the pair available for purchase globally but it looks like it might have something special up its sleeve for those in China.

According to a listing found on TENAA, Samsung just recently submitted a device with the model number SM-G8850. While its specifications are similar to that of the Galaxy S9, one thing that you will probably notice is that the handset has a different design on its rear. The camera array on the SM-G8850 offers a different design and
are stacked vertically. The flash has also been repositioned, along with the fingerprint reader. Those that are familiar with the iPhone X might find that Samsung"s unannounced handset might look a little familiar to Apple"s current top-end model.

As for the rest of its specifications, the smartphone has a 5.8-inch QHD+ display with a resolution of 2960×1440, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and will arrive with up to 6GB RAM. The handset will also pack a 3,000mAh battery. At the time, it is unknown when this unit will arrive, but it is interesting to see Samsung make exclusives to keep that regions audience happy.
