Samsung could debut DeX Pad alongside Galaxy S9

Earlier in the year, Samsung debuted its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ handsets, alongside the DeX Station. The DeX Station was something new for the company, expanding the capabilities of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, giving it the ability to power a desktop computing experience.

With rumors that the Galaxy S9 might be making an appearance at CES next month, there is also a rumor that the firm is looking to offer a new DeX Station dubbed the DeX Pad. Unlike the previous dock, the new Pad will only require users to place the handset on the unit, giving it an ideal position to be used as a mousepad. This would make things more convenient for the user, as it would not require them to carry around a mouse.

It"s believed that the DeX Pad will be announced alongside the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ and, while rumors are indicating that the Galaxy S9 devices could make an appearance at CES, there is information that states that it will be more of a cameo than a full reveal.
