Samsung unveiled the highly-anticipated Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets at its "Unboxed" event a few weeks ago. Both flagship devices offer high-end specifications, and differ mainly in terms of display size. Additionally, they also support the company"s DeX technology, which allows users to connect to a monitor via an optional dock.
GSMArena reports that the Korean tech giant hinted via tweet that these two handsets would be available in India on April 19:
India, get ready to #UnboxYourPhone! Samsung #GalaxyS8 #GalaxyS8Plus, India launch on 19th April, 2017.
However, it now appears that the aforementioned tweet has been deleted without any explanation. Instead, Samsung has sent out another message with the exact same wording, minus the purported April 19 release date, leaving many to question the company"s decision:
@SamsungMobileIN Why is the date removed ?
