The Samsung Experience 9.0 has kicked off, and one of the first things select users will be able to try is the Android Oreo 8.0 beta, provided they have a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ and live in the United States, the UK, or South Korea.
To try out the beta, you will need a Samsung Account. U.S. residents must be on devices from Sprint or T-Mobile - or at least have an unlocked device with SIMs from these providers. If you live in the UK, you just need an unlocked device. Registration for the beta program is through the Samsung Members or Samsung+ apps available on the Google Play Store.
If you get into the beta, keep in mind that betas aren"t perfect, so expect glitches when trying it out. Samsung is expecting you to give them feedback on the performance of the new iteration of the Samsung Experience, from first impressions to usability. The companywill use the feedback to "provide Galaxy users with an improved and optimized experience." Samsung Experience 9.0 uses the Android Oreo UI and UX, and will be available on the next flagship Galaxy devices, likely the S9 handsets, or whatever the company may end up calling them.
The beta opens today, and no end date has been specified, although Samsung said it will vary by country.
