Samsung Galaxy A20s officially confirmed

Almost exactly one month ago, on August 22, Samsung announced the Galaxy A50s and A30s smartphones. Similar to the mid-range duo unveiled last month, Samsung confirmed the addition of another model to the Galaxy A series today called the Samsung Galaxy A20s.

So far the only official information about the upcoming Galaxy A20s released by the South Korean tech giant is contained in an infographic posted on the Samsung Newsroom today. It also reveals the design details and color variants of the A20s.

Similar to the Galaxy A50s and A30s, the Galaxy A20s will sport an infinity display, more specifically an HD+ Infinity-V display which measures 6.5-inches wide and has a cutout for the 8MP front camera. The back of the phone will feature a triple-camera setup with a 5MP depth sensor, a 13MP (F1.8) main camera, and an 8MP (F2.0) ultra-wide lens. Weighing in at 183g, the dimensions of the A20s will measure 163.3x77.5x8.0mm.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A20s will be powered by an unspecified octa-core 1.8GHz processor. The smartphone will be available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, with the option to choose from 32GB and 64GB of internal storage space - upgradeable up to 512GB via microSD. Furthermore, the handset will have a 4000mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and facial recognition.

As seen in the picture, the A20s will feature a shiny metal back with a metallic finish. The phone will be available in four colors: black, blue, green, and red. It must be noted that while these are the official specifications disclosed by Samsung, a tiny notice at the bottom of the infographic states that all of the phone"s features depicted in the image are "subject to change without notice".

As for the price and release date, Samsung has not said anything on the matter so we will have to wait to find out when the Galaxy A20s will be available for purchase and for how much.
