Samsung today unveiled another mid-range smartphone with 5G support and a new design that looks nothing near like any other Galaxy devices. The Galaxy A32 5G debuts just a day before Samsung announces its next-generation flagship, the Galaxy S21 series.
The handset features a fresh look and a new design for the rear camera array, a design unlike any other Samsung phone yet. Instead of being squeezed together into a single camera island, each lens has its own cutout. The quad-camera setup comprises a 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle shooter, 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
It sports a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 13MP selfie snapper. The device is powered by an octa-core processor - though the South Korean giant has not provided any details on what the chip is - paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Inside, it has a storage capacity of 128GB, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Other features of the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos support. It will be available in four color variants: black, white, blue, and violet.
While Samsung has not provided any pricing and availability details, a press release on Samsung"s German newsroom suggests that the device will be available starting February 12, at least in that region, at an asking price of €279 for the 64GB variant.
