The Samsung Galaxy A8s was rumored last month to be featuring an in-display front camera by way of a hole in the screen. For what it"s worth, the design is supposed to be Samsung"s answer to those who hate a notched display. But then again there was nothing to support its validity at the time, until now.
A new image has been spotted on TENAA, a telecom regulatory body in China, showing what could be the first real look at Samsung"s likely implementation of an in-display front snapper. The image corroborates previous claims that the hole will be placed at the upper left corner of the display.
Aside from that piece of information, the leaked image also shows a gradient silver color on the back of the device. Unsurprisingly, there also appears to be a button on the left side of the phone dedicated to Bixby function.
Additionally, the pictured device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which means the Galaxy A8s probably won"t include an in-display fingerprint sensor as previously rumored. For now, suffice it to say that the Galaxy S10 range remains the only upcoming Samsung device that will supposedly launch with that security feature.
Other key specs of the phone have also popped up on TENAA, including a triple-lens rear camera, 6.39-inch display likely with a full HD+ resolution, and a 3,300mAh battery. Previous rumors also claim that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. It remains unclear where the device will be rolled out besides China, but rumor has it that it may also arrive to the U.S.
