Earlier this year, in September, Samsung launched its first metal phone. It is considered by reviewers to be one of the most – if not the most – aesthetically pleasing phone from Samsung. It packs some of the premium features of the S5 into a smaller frame, and you’d be tempted to think of it as a Galaxy S5 mini.
The phone is a competitor to the iPhone 6, features a 1280 by 720 AMOLED display, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801, 2GB of RAM, no expandable storage, a more than acceptable rear camera, and mediocre battery life. It is supposed to be part of a new design direction for future Samsung phones. Check out our full review here.
In a collaboration between the tech giant, fashion label Free Lance, and artist JB Rautureau, a special edition version will be made with four custom-made leather back covers. They will be limited to 100 of each color, and will feature a certificate of authenticity.
Have a look at the promotional video below. Maybe it makes sense for a holiday gift, if you’re willing to pay a premium for it : 649 Euros ($795). However, this is a truly limited edition, only available in France.
