Samsung Galaxy M01s launched with Helio P22 SoC, 4000mAh battery

Samsung has launched a new smartphone in India, which is a part of its entry-level Galaxy M series. Called the Samsung Galaxy M01s (via 91Mobiles), it costs ₹9,999, which roughly translates to $133. It will be available in Light Blue and Gray color options. Availability will be via offline retail stores, samsung.com, and other e-commerce sites. This new device comes a month after Samsung launched the Galaxy M01 in India for ₹8,999 ($120).

The Galaxy M01s sports a 6.2-inch Infinity-V TFT display with HD+ (1280x720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of storage onboard that can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

For photography, the device equips a dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a 13MP primary sensor, and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8MP camera on the front.

On the software front, the dual-SIM Galaxy M01s runs Android 9 Pie with One UI on top. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, face unlock support, and Dolby Atmos support for a surround sound experience.
