Samsung keeps on adding new capabilities to the S Pen of its Galaxy Note line each year. Last year"s Galaxy Note10 series came with a stylus that added support for Air actions while its predecessor introduced an S Pen that allowed users to control the phone"s camera via Bluetooth.
On August 5, when the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note20 series at its Unpacked event, a fresh capability could make its way to the handset"s S Pen that will let users turn the stylus into a pointer, just like how a computer mouse works. According to a tweet by Jimmy Is Promo, the Galaxy Note20"s S Pen will act as a pointer to allow for navigating around the user interface or highlighting an area, for example.
S Pen can now act as a Pointer. Select your color and select icons on the screen, navigate around. Also can highlight an area. #Note20 #GalaxyNote20Ultra

Users may also have the option to customize the pointer’s speed, set the pointer color, and use it as an alternative to a laser pointer for slideshow presentations. In addition, the feature appears to include an option for adding a trail to the pointer and changing its size.
A more recent revelation by Jimmy Is Promo also showed that the S Pen will swap location with the phone"s bottom speaker, which means it will be placed on the left side of the USB-C port instead of right where it used to be in the older versions of the Galaxy Note. More features of the Galaxy Note20 series will be unveiled next month.
