We"re only a few hours away from the Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+. Circling back to already released flagships, however, the Note9 is still getting updates, and customers on AT&T are now receiving the Night mode update that has rolled out just about everywhere else already.
Additionally the update also brings Advanced Messaging to the Samsung Messages app for AT&T subscribers. It will allow users to send messages up to 10MB in size as well as being able to see if the recipient has read your message. Right now, it is only available to customers with an AT&T contract, and the messages must also arrive on Advanced Messaging capable AT&T devices.
The update bumps up the firmware version to N960USQU2CSGA and includes the July 2019 Android security patch. In addition, there"s now a native support for QR code scanning, removing the need for a Bixby Vision or third-party QR code-scanning tool. You can check for an update by heading to Settings > Software update, It comes in at a sizable 882MB, so be sure to download the update over a Wi-Fi connection.
