Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ appear online in new Cardinal Red variant

Having been released three months ago in 70 countries, Samsung"s Galaxy S10 range has received some fairly solid reviews aside from a few quibbles noted by our own Rich Woods in his write up. At launch, the S10+ was made available in a number of colors including Prism Blue, Flamingo Pink, Prism Black, and Prism White, while the S10e tacked on Prism Green and Canary Yellow as additional options.

Of course, if you recall from past releases of Galaxy S smartphones, Samsung has later introduced new color variants in the months after initial release, such as Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red in the Galaxy S9 and S9+ lineups last year. This year appears to be no different with one new color being added to the range, dubbed "Cardinal Red".

However, it seems that you can only get the red model if you"re prepared to settle for the Galaxy S10 or S10+ with 128GB of onboard storage and 8GB of RAM, with the color notably absent from the higher-specced models according to Samsung"s Switzerland website at the time of writing. The S10e is also expected to pick up the new hue, although that doesn"t appear to be available just yet but may be limited to just the western European market.

Of course, it remains to be seen if there are other colors in the pipeline for the Galaxy S10 range in general, but you may not want to hold your breath.
