Samsung launched the S10 Lite and Note10 Lite in January with a promise to bring premium features to a more affordable price point. While the S10 Lite brings flagship specs with a slight compromise on camera hardware, the Note 10 Lite makes do with superior cameras, albeit with slightly older silicon. One feature that was missing on the S10 Lite at launch when it comes to camera capabilities was that of 4K 60fps video recording.
Now, an update is rolling out to that device that brings with it the ability to record 4K resolution videos at 60fps. The overall update comes in at roughly 420MB and focuses on camera improvements, improved fingerprint recognition performance, the standard stability fixes, and the February security patch. The changelog also mentions that the “Camera picture quality has been improved”.
Another interesting addition is that of the Super Steady stabilization feature for videos at 4K resolution. However, folks over at XDADevelopers could not get their devices to turn on the feature in 4K, with the resolution automatically switching to FullHD. It is possible that the feature is slated to come to the device sometime in the future and has been added to the logs by accident.
The update is a staggered rollout and may not show up on your device right away. You can check for updates by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
