If reports are to be believed, Samsung is working on a successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite. This device is currently known in the rumor mills as the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. While there is no official announcement yet, a new leak reveals a bit more information on the upcoming device.
According to tipster Ice Universe (via Android Central), the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset. This is the same as the flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 series. The tipster further reveals that the Fan Edition is likely to flaunt an Infinity-O display with 120Hz refresh rate. Lastly, another common feature with the Galaxy S20 series will be support for IP68 water resistance.

Previous leaks have hinted at a minimum of 128GB storage onboard. On the software front, it is likely to run Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on top. The upcoming device will reportedly come with model numbers SM-G780 and GMG781. The former is likely to be a variant for the global markets, while the latter is said to be targeted towards the U.S. market with 5G support.
If the latest leak is anything to go by, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be more than just a "Lite" variant of the Galaxy S20. The tipster also claims that Samsung will price the upcoming device competitively. A report from last month states that Samsung will reportedly unveil the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition some time in the month of October.
