Earlier this month, Samsung unveiled its new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. According to an executive at one leading European carrier, Samsung managed to book over 20 million pre-orders worldwide for the two handsets in just over one week – and eager buyers in the UK will soon be able to add their names to the list, too.
The South Korean tech giant said today that it will open pre-orders for the devices in the United Kingdom on Friday, March 20. Pre-orders will be available via EE, O2, Three and Vodafone, as well as leading independent retailer Carphone Warehouse, with deliveries scheduled for April 10.
Alternatively, if you pre-order one of the handsets directly from Samsung, it will be delivered a day earlier on April 9.
Samsung hasn"t yet announced pricing for its new phones, but given the company"s new focus on "premium" devices and experiences, don"t expect bargain-bin pricing.
