Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge pre-orders to start on March 27 in the US

Samsung has officially announced that pre-orders its latest flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will go live in the US on March 27. Sales will begin nationwide on April 10 with all three device storage variants; 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB being available.

However, it appears that there will be only three color options available to consumers at start, which are common to both the devices. These colors are Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and White Pearl. The Blue Topaz and Green Emerald colors exclusive to the S6 and S6 edge are expected to be available later on, presumably for different carriers.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless will offer both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, while Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless and MetroPCS will carry the Galaxy S6. T-Mobile will also be offering one year of Netflix for free with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S6.

Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters says:

We have completely reimagined the Galaxy experience from the ground up by listening to what matters most to our customers, the Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge are more than just beautiful – they’re better. We’ve improved the smartphone essentials – camera, battery, display – and redesigned the phone experience so our consumer and business users are empowered to do more.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge come packed with 14nm Exynos 7420 SoC, 5.1" 577 PPI OLED QHD displays, 3GB of low power RAM, 5MP front shooters and 16MP rear cameras which also feature Optical Image Stabilization. If you"re still on the fence about buying either of the devices, be sure to check out our first impressions and hands-on at MWC.
