Following the reveal of the detailed roadmap for the Android 7.0 rollout to eligible Samsung smartphones and tablets by Samsung Turkey a week ago, it appears that the Galaxy S6 edge+ has received Wi-Fi certification ahead of its expected mid-March Nougat update.
Samsung has not confirmed the roadmap released by its Turkish arm, which was pulled offline shortly after, but with this Wi-Fi certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance, it is possible we could hear something official ahead of the March 13 date indicated in the document for the S6 edge+.
It"s worth emphasizing that the roadmap applied specifically to Turkey, so the dates are unlikely to apply to every other market. And regardless of which country you"re in, if your device was purchased from a carrier, there"s even more uncertainty about when it will be upgraded.
Nonetheless, even for those in other markets, the Turkish roadmap at least provides a rough indication of which devices you can expect to be upgraded to Android 7.0, and when.
Samsung started rolling out Nougat to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge last month.
