Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ released in two additional colour variants

When you buy a phone for over £700 you want it to look classy, right? Well, today, Samsung has announced it will help hit this goal by introducing two new colour options for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+; Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red. The the new colours are now available alongside the Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple options.

Describing the two new options, Samsung said:

“The Sunrise Gold edition for Galaxy S9 and S9+ is Samsung’s first device to feature a satin gloss finish which wraps the smartphone in a tranquil glow and glimmer. The new Sunrise Gold color creates a feeling of both vibrancy and calm. This sophisticated finish was developed to appeal to all users by bringing a stylistic touch of high fashion and urban interior design to a user’s mobile device. The Burgundy Red edition is one of the deepest red colors available featuring restrained gloss for added density and a look that is contemporary and traditional – perfect for users who appreciate luxurious design.”

Younghee Lee, CMO and Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics said that people “want to be able to express their style and personality through their technology" and that the colour of a device plays a big part. He continued on saying that the new colours “embrace a modern and classic feel.”

The Burgundy Red edition will be available in Korea and China from May, while the Sunrise Gold variant will be available from June in markets including Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam with more to follow.
