Samsung"s Galaxy Tab S7 Fan Edition 5G tablet has reached American shores. In a nutshell, it is a watered-down Galaxy Tab S7 Plus that offers a few high-end features such as a metal body, 5G connectivity, and S-Pen stylus support.
As opposed to the Snapdragon 865+ found in the Tab S7 Plus, the Tab S7 FE 5G settles for the Snapdragon 750G chipset. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. You can expand it further via a microSD card slot. The tablet sports an 8 MP rear camera along with a 5 MP module for selfies. Its stereo speakers are tuned by AKG.
The display is another department where the Fan Edition cuts corners. Instead of the Tab S7 Plus" AMOLED panel, the S7 FE features a 12.4" LCD with 2560 x 1600 pixels. The tablet holds a 10,090 mAh battery with unspecified "fast-charging" support.
The Tab S7 FE 5G covers connectivity essentials such as dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The table ships with the S-Pen stylus. Other accessories such as a Book Cover and Keyboard Book Cover are sold separately.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G will be available for purchase starting August 5 for $669. For 5G support, the Korean brand has teamed up with AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and US cellular.
Along with the Tab S7 FE 5G, Samsung is also planning to release a WiFi-only model in September. Priced at $530, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE (Wi-FI) has similar specifications save for the lack of 5G support.
If you are looking for a premium experience, the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is the best Samsung has to offer with a starting price of $789 on Amazon.
