Samsung Gear 360 launched in South Korea alongside the 2016 Galaxy J5 and J7

Samsung has launched the Gear 360 camera and the 2016 editions of its Galaxy J5 and J7 smartphones in South Korea, which will be sold in the country starting tomorrow.

The Gear 360 camera that was announced at Mobile World Congress 2016 is priced at ₩399,300 ($350) in Samsung"s home country. The device features two fisheye lenses with 15-megapixel sensors, which can capture videos as well as still images with resolutions up to 30 megapixels. Additionally, it supports expandable storage and is dust and water proof.

Samsung also launched the latest generation of its Galaxy J5 and J7 mid-range smartphones in the country, and these too will be going on sale starting tomorrow. The detailed specifications of the devices are as follows:

The company is expected to launch the smartphones in more markets in the coming months with region dependent features such as dual-SIM and support for local 4G networks. Samsung has priced the devices for ₩290,000 (~$255) and ₩363,000 (~$320) respectively.
