Samsung introduces the Galaxy Book Go series powered by new Snapdragon chips

Samsung today announced two new additions to its Galaxy Book family of products that are powered by Arm-based chipsets. The more affordable Galaxy Book Go is running Qualcomm"s recently unveiled Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor while the 5G version is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G, which debuted last year.

The Galaxy Book Go starts at $349, available in June in select territories. Inside, it has 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eUFS storage. The Windows laptop sports a 14-inch 1080p LCD display and weighs 1.38kg, or 3.042 pounds. It also has a 42.3Wh battery, a 180-degree folding hinge, and Dolby Atmos audio.

Connectivity-wise, the laptop features Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, and LTE. It also ships with a 25W USB Type-C fast charger inside the box. Other features include two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 720p webcam, and a microSD card slot.

The 5G version shares the same specs as the entry-level variant except for the processor and connectivity feature. They also come in silver finish. Both devices come with Samsung TV Plus preloaded and promise military-grade durability. If you"re looking for a more powerful option, then the Galaxy Book Go 5G is your thing, coming later this year. That said, Samsung didn"t reveal its price.
