Samsung revealed today the next member of its Galaxy F series. The Galaxy F22 will debut on July 6 in India, with a few improvements from the rest of the pack.
The upcoming device will sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate. It"s worth noting that this is the first handset in the series to blend an AMOLED screen with that level of refresh rate. The Galaxy F12 also has a 90Hz display, but it includes only an LCD panel. However, the F22"s HD+ screen resolution is nothing to write home about. In contrast, the Galaxy F62, which was unveiled in February, sports a Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display with a FullHD+ resolution.
Other key specs of the F22 have been announced as well via its official landing page on Samsung India"s website. Optics-wise, the phone features a 48MP quad-camera setup at its back while its front shooter is housed in a dew-drop notch in its display. The selfie camera"s resolution remains unknown, though.
The device also comes with a 6,000mAh battery unit, which is massive enough to keep the phone running for an entire day on average use. There are no official details yet about its processor as well as the price, but rumor has it that it could be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and priced at less than ₹15,000, or approximately $201 (via Yahoo News).
