Samsung unveiled its stunning Galaxy TabPro S at the beginning of the year, and after launching the device in Australia last month, the 4G model is now available to buy there too.
Unlike most devices with Galaxy branding, the TabPro S isn"t an Android tablet, but runs Windows 10 instead, and is similar in concept to Microsoft"s Surface range, with a detachable keyboard cover.
The device is exceptionally light and thin, with a sleek profile that"s just 6.3mm-thick, and includes these key specs:
- 12-inch Super AMOLED with 2160x1440px resolution
- Dual-core 2.2GHz Intel Core M (6th-gen) processor
- 4GB RAM
- 128GB or 256GB SSD
- 5MP rear camera with autofocus
- 5MP front-facing camera
- GPS / GLONASS
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO (including WiFi Direct support)
- NFC
- Bluetooth 4.1
- Optional 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity
- 5200mAh battery
- 693g (Wi-Fi); 696g (4G LTE)
The tablet is offered with either Windows 10 Home or Pro; the latter version is rather awkwardly named the "Galaxy TabPro S Pro", and is only sold in black, while the Home version comes in both black and white.
According to Gizmodo Australia, the 4G LTE model is priced at $1,799 AUD, and will be sold through major retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, along with the flagship Samsung Experience Stores in Melbourne and Sydney. However, the 4G version doesn"t yet appear available to purchase from the company"s online store.
