Earlier, a rumor claimed that Samsung might be working on a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet. Now, a new report has surfaced, which claims that the company might be working on a massive 18.4-inch Android tablet as well.
SamMobile reports of tablet SM-T670, codenamed "Tahoe", which will be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop. It will reportedly also sport an 18.4-inch TFT LCD screen with a 1920x1080 resolution. It will purportedly also include a 64-bit octa-core 1.6GHz Exynos 7580 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The report claims that the tablet will have a 5700 mAh battery and will also include an 8 MP primary camera and 2.1 MP front-shooter. The dimensions of the device will be 451.8 mm wide, 275.8 mm tall, and 11.9 mm in thickness. This is much thicker as compared to the alleged 6.2 mm-thick Windows 10 tablet being made by the same company, but in all fairness, it is a much larger device too.
With that being said, it"ll be very interesting to see the category to which the tablet fits into keeping in mind that casual users might not be enticed by such a large device. It could possibly be targeted towards the enterprise sector, where people might need it to show off presentations and projects, but in that case, the tablet being powered by Android instead of the largely enterprise-friendly Windows OS is slightly out of the ordinary.
