Samsung partners with Redbull to produce 360-degree Gear VR content

Samsung and Red Bull have announced a partnership to produce more 360-degree content for the Gear VR. The two companies say that they can offer great 360-degree content to consumers.

Red Bull will create exciting 360-degree video content by supporting athletes through its Rulebreakers campaign. It"s the first Dutch campaign that is deployed across the company"s social media pages, the web and also YouTube.

The Rulebreakers campaign by Red Bull which aims to inspire people to cross their limits and show what they"re really capable of, will go hand in hand with Samsung"s #DoWhatYouCan"t campaign. Samsung"s campaign also seeks an international appeal to young creatives around the world to show what they"re good at.

“With DoWhatYouCan’t let us see that there’s no need for a smartphone, an internet connection and a good idea to build your empire,” says Gerben van Walt Meijer, Marketing Manager of Mobile at Samsung Netherlands. “With the collaboration with Red Bull Nederland, we are now also challenging athletes to make the most of it.“

There is currently no word on the method of content distribution to Gear VR owners, although it can be assumed that the content should be available in the Gear VR store.
