Samsung reportedly mocks Steve Jobs, calls him a "turtleneck wearer"

Samsung and Apple are two of the biggest manufacturers and competitors when it comes to smartphones and other consumer electronics. The companies often lock horns legally too and sometimes throw an occasional light banter or two against each other.

And apparently, in the latest of such cases, the South Korean giant has reportedly made fun of Apple co-founder, the late Steve Jobs - in a way many may feel is distasteful -, allegedly referring to him as the "turtleneck wearer".

This jibe is said to appear on Samsung"s iTest website that allows Apple users to test Android features available on a Galaxy using their iPhones. Here"s what the description section about themes on the website purportedly reads:

Samsung users are all unique and they like their phones to be unique too. No turtleneck wearer should dictate how your phone looks.

Even though there is no direct name-calling in what Samsung allegedly has written on the iTest website, the reference to Jobs is rather conspicuous as the man was often seen sporting a turtleneck in public events and interviews.

#Samsung has gone too far. This kind of marketing is the worst I"ve ever seen in a company on Earth. Really sammy? Mocking a dead man? This makes me regret every second of using my samsung phone by now. Thread. 👇 pic.twitter.com/dQNCcUzGAV

It may be difficult to overlook this alleged mock of Jobs for Apple fans, and especially the late executive"s admirers. After all, we are talking about a man who is no more but is still is one of the biggest names in the entire tech industry.

Here"s a saved image of the purported jibe at Steve Jobs on Samsung"s iTest website.
