At the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung Electronics unveiled three ultrathin phones as part of the Ultra II family; the U100 is the slimmest one - just 5.9 millimetres thick. All three, the other two being the U600 and the U700, will be available this quarter. The company also announced three advanced multimedia phones: the F700, F520 and F510. The three models, which will be on the market later this year, feature high-quality cameras and large displays, and support music and video playback technology. Samsung has been losing market share to Motorola and Nokia in recent months and one of the ways by which the company hopes to keep sales up is by releasing new designs.
