A month after Samsung kicked off the signup process for One UI beta for Galaxy Note9 users, the company is now rolling out the third and, perhaps, the final beta update to its latest Android skin for that device. Currently, only users in the U.S. and India are able to download the update, but in the next few days, it is expected to become available in other countries where the One UI beta program also exists.
The latest One UI update, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie, comes in at more than 330MB and bumps up the software version to N960FXXU2ZRLR in India and N960U1UEUZRLL in the U.S. It also includes the January 1, 2019 security patch for Indian users while those in the U.S. remain on the December 1, 2018 patch level.
The update adds a plethora of fixes for several issues including Samsung Notes app crashes, the slow response time for back and front camera switching, and broken navigation bar gestures. Below is the full changelog:
Samsung recently promised to release the official One UI update in January 2019 for the Galaxy S9, S9+, and Note9. But the Galaxy S9 series in Europe already received its stable Android Pie treat during Christmas day, so the Galaxy Note9 may be next in line early next month.
